TRIZing the H factor!!!

Life is about contradictions!!!

Haven't we all heard and felt it time and again. The flow and the ebb of things triggers many happy coincidences, contrasts and most definitely contradictions! If Prakz were reading this blog, (a TRIZ practitioner and a very dear friend) he would jump at the opportunity to TRIZ on the H factor!!

What is the H Factor?

As a friend in her blog very cleverly describes it (the pattern between her writing style and lateral thinking being her prudent usage of the 'other way round' where she modifies the usage of 5W 2 H to 1W and 4Hs and then by the time she concludes also uses a parallel!) it is the state of an immigrant to the US on a H4 visa.

Her candid account is unbiased and should be read to be understood ;)- read the blog in its completeness here - http://http://mypenseiveshared.blogspot.com/2008/09/1w-n-4h.html

Now I add a twist to the tale! the tale goes like this, every nation (not necessarily the US alone) wants a premium productive society, it wants people with exceptional skills to grow and contribute to its economy. At the same time, these nations would willingly import help from other nations to improve their economic power and remain on top.

Now comes the funny bit, the imports from other nations will bring along their families. Most often family would include a spouse (considering the average age being between 24-30) who will and could be equally capable with similar competence and credibility as their other half on the permit. However, the said entry and visa permit would only allow one of them to work to increase and contribute to the productivity of the host nation.

The host nation will continue to import more people. Usually ignoring a "free resource" of the accompanying spouse who could contribute equally to the growth and productivity of the host nation. This would be in TRIZ parlance 'usage of a free resource'

Secondly, the host nation can set a cap on the number of people it imports and restrict the operational transactions it conducts in processing applications, permits etc by using the free resource of a qualified spouse who up until landing in the host nation was doing very well professionally.

In the meantime, the H4s need not be asked questions that put them in a spot, cause a state of being unemployed in itself is a paradox. Its all in one's mind as to how they categorise work as productive. However, that would be another tangent to a penseive.

Well, I did jump..

I hope someone from Obama administration reads your blog to understand the enormous potential of the "free/low cost resources".

- They can probably use this to rebuild their education system as majority of the H4's are highly qualified enough to teach at a local school
