A friend asked me how the day went b y and I said- another day another year to a Bday I had celebrated recently..I believe that Bday are truly those days when one seems to be Born at the right time and hour- a day when time somehow feels like at a standstill,
the beauty of the past and the warmth of the future- all cascading,
when all excuses are accepted in good cheer,
when the world seems like its on a happy high and with you being the kind bouncer letting stags, underage kids, uncles, aunties, penniless, penniful, weight watchers, weight gainers get drunk on happinessJJ
In one’s abundant generosity also lies one’s need to relive good old traits of curiosity and mischief – I troubled my brother no end until he bought me a gift of my choice and made him indulge in the sin of gluttony knowing too well that he was invited to a sinful dinner, If he already had a quota of gluttony chalked out for the day would twice the sin matter!!! And besides when I was sailing in the same boat, didn’t I deserve company- afterall blood aint thicker for nothing!
We watched Dark knight together and I must say I would eat outta Ledger’s hand if he were alive- Gods justice is ironical, when people alive struggle to develop talent- he takes away people with exceptional effortless talent- Guess its his way of saying- there there hold it! Due to budgetary constraints, the light of the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice!
Atleast my vote would be to pray the budget will seem rosier post the American Presidential elections and we could hope that people would go back to their attention to Hollywood and nominate dear old Ledger for his name under the Oscar Sun- albeit its warmth and power would accord him no relative comfort!
And the day ends with repeat gluttonous indulgences along with an army of cheerful friends who wouldn’t mind the extra pounds as they have always believed that its directly proportional to my happiness and they were in the right spirits to buy me an interesting and funny book- ‘the Zoya factor’ which I finished in record time as I couldn’t resist the laughs and wanted to remain on my happiness high through the year as the day went by and normalcy had set in with longer faces, dark circles, round middles, dirty potholes, jumpy tempers, crazy and whacky drunkards-all coming back- cud I just choose to relive my BDay every single day until the next one or should I go about thinking up or compiling quotes like the following and just have a funny silly laugh..hehehe??? both is how human one can be-
Age is something that doesn’t matter unless you are cheese
There is still no cure for the common Birthday
There are 3 stages of man: he believes in Santa Claus; he doesn’t believe in Santa Claus; he is Santa Claus
Old age isn’t so bad if you consider the available alternative
Maturity is a high price to pay for growing up
The old believe everything;the middle age suspect everything;the young know everything
